Edmund Mickunas has over 40 years of experience working in FDA regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, OTC and medical device industry. Ed was introduced to the oral care space while doing graduate work in Human Biochemistry at Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dental medicine. While there he worked in the Oral Health Research Center which provided consulting and contract research for companies developing oral care products, these included Warner Lambert, Johnson and Johnson, Block Drug and several others.

His professional work has included development clinical research and regulatory capacity for Richardson Vick oral care for its products Denquel Sensitive Teeth Toothpaste, Cepacol Rinse, Lavoris Mouthwash and Fixodent Denture Products. He has held the positions of Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for Del Laboratories which included work on its Orajel product line and was the Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical and Quality for Oragenics which was developing a vaccine against dental caries.
